DZIDZIO (Mykhailo Khoma): concerts, schedule and tickets

From the TicketsBox editorial team

Tickets for DZIDZIO concerts are in the catalogue above. Official prices, no markups. The schedule updates whenever organisers add new dates. The headline event of 2026 is already there: 17 April, the Palace of Sports in Kyiv, programme called Super HITS.

Biography

His passport name is Mykhailo Stepanovych Khoma. Onstage he goes by DZIDZIO. The band carries the same name: Khoma put it together in 2009 and has been the central figure of the project ever since. He sings, writes the lyrics, directs the videos. In parallel he runs a film operation (the DZIDZIOFILM studio, two feature films to its name), produces, and acts. Honoured Artist of Ukraine since 2020. Ambassador of the Ukraine national football team since 2019. Born in the Lviv region: village of Bortnyky, Stryi district, year 1983, the date 20 November.

The family was ordinary. His father Stepan Oleksiyovych worked as a vet and graduated from the Lviv Veterinary Institute. His mother Halyna Yanivna (née Markul) was a printing technologist. When Mykhailo was four, the family moved from Bortnyky to Novoyavorivsk. Later his mother went to Portugal for work. She stayed there a long time. By 2025 it was already over fifteen years. Mykhailo was raised by his grandparents, in the village.

So where does Dzidzio come from? From that same family. His maternal grandfather, Markul Yan Kazymyrovych, was a Pole. In the village they called him dzidzio. In the Boyko dialect dzidzio means grandfather. Mykhailo took the word and made it his stage name. The look came from the village too: a fake beard, a feathered hat, a costume. Recognisable from the first frame, and that has held for over fifteen years. The Latin DZIDZIO logotype was drawn by a friend, Roman Cheryba, and given to Mykhailo as a birthday present.

The music story starts early. By two or three he could already read syllable by syllable. At six he was sent to music school. At twelve he won first prize at the Tchaikovsky vocal competition (1995). After that came a first prize at Moloda Halychyna in 1996 and the grand prix at the same festival in 1999. As a teenager he listened to the variety singer Ivan Popovych. Popovych heard the boy himself, and recommended he study vocal with Mykhailo Rusyn in Yavoriv. Khoma did exactly that. Higher education came later, at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts.

How DZIDZIO came to be

There were a few detours before the band. After college Mykhailo briefly worked at the Ukrainian customs service. In parallel he ran a side project, Mykhailo Khoma and Friends. They played weddings and corporate events, the standard track for any young Ukrainian musician at the time. In 2008 he recorded a cover of Kalendar by Andriy Kuzmenko (Kuzma from Skryabin) and Oleh Turko. Kuzma heard it. He liked it. He suggested another cover, this time Stari Fotohrafii. They shot a video. And that was it.

The exact founding date of DZIDZIO is documented: 9 September 2009, Novoyavorivsk. Kuzma wrote a song for the project called Yalta and Anatoliy Bezukh signed on as producer. The original line-up had three members: Dzidzio (Mykhailo Khoma), Lesyk (Oleh Turko) and Yulyk (Nazariy Huk). In 2015 Lesyk left the band amid a public dispute, and the full version of that story has never been agreed on. Since 2017 the line-up has been steady at four: Dzidzio, Lyamur (Orest Halytskyi), Agrus (Volodymyr Hulyak) and Rumbambar (Serhiy Hulyak). His wife, by the way, is also a singer. Yaroslava Prytula, a Lviv native, performs under the name SLAVIA. They married quietly in 2013, no fuss.

The breakthrough came in 2012. That summer the video for Kha-Kha-Kha premiered at Byblos club in Kyiv. On 20 November the same year the debut album Kha-Kha-Kha came out. Within a year the band's YouTube channel had passed 11 million views. Then on 18 May 2013 something happened that had not happened before in Ukrainian show business: Dzidzio filled Arena Lviv. A solo concert. A stadium. 25, 000 people. No Ukrainian solo artist had filled a venue of that size before.

Discography

DZIDZIO has three studio albums. There are over twenty-one music videos. The genre the band invented for itself is documented in their own materials as comedic anti-glamour pop. Inside that label sits pop-folk, dance-pop, live rock sound, plus a heavy use of surzhyk and the Boyko dialect in the lyrics. Literary Ukrainian shows up too, but rarely on its own.

Studio albums

Album Date Key tracks
Kha-Kha-Kha 20 November 2012 Kha-Kha-Kha, Sama-Sama, Stari Fotohrafii, Yalta
DZIDZIO Hits 2014–2015 Susidy, Pavuk (with Vova zi Lvova), Ya i Sara, Holi Divchata
DZIDZIO Super-Puper 2018 Kadilak, Ya Milioner, Ne Matyukaysya, Vykhidnyy

What people listen to most

The short answer: more than twenty songs have crossed a million views each. From the early days, audiences recognise Yalta, Stari Fotohrafii and Stariti. Sama-Sama, from 2011, was filmed in Spain. Then there is the Kha-Kha-Kha of 2012. Susidy followed in 2013. Pavuk (2014) was a duet with Vova zi Lvova. From the later catalogue: Ya i Sara, Holi Divchata, Kadilak, Medovyna, Vykhidnyy, Ya Milioner, Ne Matyukaysya. Then there are the collaborations. Likhtaryky was recorded with Polish singer Anna Maria. Ukraina Peremozhe was done together with Oleksandr Ponomariov. There is also the Polish-language Ja cię kocham.

Film career and DZIDZIOFILM

Among Ukrainian musicians with their own film operation, Mykhailo Khoma is in a small group. His own studio (DZIDZIOFILM), two feature films, awards. In 2018 DZIDZIO Kontrabas hit cinemas. It was the studio's debut full-length and it picked up a Zolota Dzyga right away in the Audience Choice category. The next year, in 2019, came DZIDZIO Pershyi Raz. Two Zolota Dzyga statues this time: Best Sound and Audience Choice. That same 2018 Mykhailo also appeared in the comedy Swingers 2. Not as director, just as actor.

The feature films were the result of a long run-up. The band had been making short films and pulling in millions of views for years. Ya Yidu Do Mamy, Anhely Chudyatsya, Lyst Do Mykolaya, Kadilak, all on the same channel, all with the same crew. By 2018 DZIDZIOFILM was effectively ready to make cinema. It just needed a bigger budget and a bit more belief in the format.

Television also features in the timeline, though more as guest appearances. In 2013 Mykhailo Khoma hosted Spivay, Yakshcho Zmozhesh on Novyi Kanal. In 2019 he competed on the sixth season of Dancing with the Stars on 1+1. The same year he sang the Ukrainian national anthem before a Ukraine national team football match. After that performance he was made an ambassador of the team.

Concert activity

Arena Lviv, 18 May 2013. 25, 000 tickets sold. Up to that point no Ukrainian solo artist had filled a stadium of that scale. Dzidzio did. And he played live, with a full rock band, no backing tracks. The date is still one of the key moments in the project's biography. For his 35th birthday in 2018, Mykhailo headlined the Palace of Sports in Kyiv. The programme was called Super Puper, with parts of the material drawn from Sex Bomba. The show used 400 m² of LED screens and a full rock band on stage.

17 April 2026, 6 PM, Kyiv's Palace of Sports. The solo concert DZIDZIO. Super HITS. This is the first show of this scale since 2018. The programme covers the biggest hits across all years plus several new tracks. Pricing: fan zone and rear sectors from 590 UAH; central sectors 990–1590 UAH; VIP and stalls 1890–2990 UAH. Tickets for the DZIDZIO concert at the Palace of Sports are in the catalogue above.

What to expect at the show

The short version: live rock band, real sound, video projections, the trademark on-stage banter between songs. The longer version sits in the structure. Mykhailo Khoma builds his programmes like dramaturgy. Strong hits at the open. A lyrical pause in the middle. The most recognisable songs at the close. The encore tends to run long, simply because the audience refuses to let the band leave the stage. At Arena Lviv in 2013 the closing track was played three times in a row by audience demand.

The look has been consistent since 2009: fake beard, feathered hat, costume. After 2022 Dzidzio briefly stepped out of the full image, then returned to it in 2025. Show length runs about two hours. There is one or two encores, depending on the night. The setlist always includes Ya i Sara, Vykhidnyy, Kadilak, Pavuk, Kha-Kha-Kha, Medovyna and Susidy, plus newer material.

Humour, surzhyk and anti-glamour

The genre the band coined themselves is comedic anti-glamour pop. That is not a marketing line, it is the working definition. The lyrics deal with the everyday: a party, the neighbours, family at the table, village stories, love for animals. Mason the pig, for instance, is an unofficial symbol of the project. The language mix runs across literary Ukrainian, the Boyko dialect, surzhyk and broader western Ukrainian vocabulary. That is what makes DZIDZIO songs recognisable from the first notes. And that is also why they have not aged: the humour still works, the characters still feel familiar to every new generation of listeners.

After 2022 the catalogue picked up military themes. Songs about defenders, charity concerts in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, open backing of the military. Mykhailo Khoma comments regularly on mobilisation and how the Ukrainian army should be organised. He does not speak from a distance, but from the position of someone watching the situation directly.
